Designed and realized entirely in-house, this bespoke lehenga set is crafted in a rich fuchsia, custom dyed in-studio to achieve its deep, saturated tone across both the mother’s and daughter’s ensembles. The same embroidery vocabulary is carried through both sets, scaled proportionately to each silhouette, so the design reads as one cohesive story rather than a matched pairing done separately.
The kurta neckline on both pieces is the centerpiece of the hand embroidery, worked entirely in nakshi and dabka technique, built up with pearls, cutdana, and sequins into a dense, raised floral and paisley motif that curves along the neckline in a deep sweetheart shape. The same gold dabka and pearl detailing is carried down onto the sleeve cuffs, finished with a scalloped floral border, and repeated again along the hemline of the kurta, where a continuous vine-and-floral pattern in gold thread, pearls, and cutdana runs the full width of the garment.
The skirt is woven through with a fine gold dot (butti) pattern, catching the light subtly against the solid fuchsia ground, and finished along the hem with a dense gota-trimmed border that echoes the embroidery above. At the waistline, the skirt is detailed with delicate crystal-and-pearl beaded tassels, adding gentle movement and a soft shimmer with every step. The dupatta continues the same woven gold-dot pattern throughout, framed with a dense sequin-and-gota border along its edges, tying the entire ensemble together.
Every stage of this set — the custom dyeing, the design, and the hand embroidery — is conceived and executed entirely in-house, with the nakshi and dabka work, pearls, cutdana, sequins, and beaded tassels all worked by hand along the neckline, sleeve cuffs, hem, and dupatta border.
Built entirely to how it is meant to be worn, this bespoke set is created for the moments that call for exactly that — a shared, matching celebration between mother and daughter.
